Arts

As well as the wide range of Academic Curriculum offered at Good Shepherd Catholic College there is also an extensive extra-curricular program that students can choose to become involved in.

It is through these opportunities that students can develop new friendship groups, become involved in other areas of interest and develop lifelong learning skills that well prepare them for their future endeavours.

If you have any queries, these should be directed to Emily Watson on (07) 4743 2509 or email ewatson6@goodshepherd.catholic.edu.au

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

Students can undertake weekly individual music tuition lessons in brass, percussion, strings and woodwind instruments. All students are encouraged to participate in one or more of the wide range of ensembles offered by the College, including band, choir and specialist instrumental and vocal groups.

MUSICALS

At Good Shepherd we stage a Musical Production by students in Years 7 to 12 every two years. In 2019 the cast and crew performed “THE WIZ” at the Mount Isa Civic Centre. The previous productions include “SMITHY” produced in 2017 and "SNOW OFF-WHITE” produced in 2015. In alternate years the College produces “Visivae - Creative Art Minds Showcase” which highlights the talents of our students in Years 7 - 12 across the Arts.
